Many Men Will Drink The Rain...

And turn to thank the clouds
Many men will hear You speak
But they will never turn around

I will not forget You are my God, my King
And with a thankful heart I bring my offering
And my sacrifice is not what You can give
But what I alone can give to you

Just thought I would share that with y'all!
I have been swamped with school stuff these past few weeks so blogging has taken a back seat!
I got my bff/roommate Taylor to change my Facebook password and only let me on when she knew I didn't have any school work!
It is amazing how much you get done without so many distractions!

Alabama lost their first game since the Sugar Bowl in 2009!
They didn't play very well against Ole Miss this past weekend either!
They have got to get it together if we want to end the season right!

The parents came up for this past weekend!
It was Homecoming so there was a lot going on!
We went to the pep rally and bonfire Friday night!
If it had been just a tad colder it would have been perfect!

Before the game the three of us went to Gallettes and got one of their famous drinks, a Yellow Hammer!
It was strange having my parents in an environment that I usually associate with college and not family!
We walked down Sorority Row to look at all the lawn decorations.
I wasn't much help at Alpha Chi, I had a lot of homwork and tests!
Alpha Chi did pretty well in all of the Homecoming Events, although we didn't win the whole thing!
We did get something just as exiting, a Homecoming Queen!
Congrats Shellie! You totally deserve the crown and we are SO proud of you!

Mel and Kel Homecoming 2010

Anyways, thought I would give y'all a quick update on my life!

Tale As Old As Time

Well I am finishing up my 30 day challenge today!
I have enjoyed sharing with y'all and I hope you will continue to read my updates!

Day 29: Your favorite movie
What a coincidence that one of my favorite movies just came out on DVD yesterday!
Of course I rushed to get it!
When I was little that only movie I would watch was Beauty and the Beast!
It is still one of my favorites and I was SO excited when I found out it was coming out on DVD!
It brought back so many memories when I watched it again for the first time in...well like ten years!!

My other favorite movie is The Patriot!
Mel Gibson does an amazing job and Heath Ledger (RIP) is so good looking!

Day 30: A picture of yourself and three good things that has happened in the past 30 days
This is the only recent picture I have because my camera is broken!
I have learned a lot about myself in the last thirty days!
But I think the most important thing I learned is that I need to strengthen my trust in the Lord.
I tend to have a lot of anxiety when I think about my life and my future and I have got to let that go and know that God is in control and He only wants the best for me!

Til next time!
Stay sweet!

Study, Study, Study

Coffee, coffee, coffee!
Ah!
I got up this morning at 7:30!
That is a new record for me getting up just to study!
Got me some Starbucks and hit the books!
I have a big Public Relations test tomorrow and I have got to do well!

Day 27: A picture of you last year and a picture of you now, how have you changed since then?
This is from Formal 2009.

This was taken at one of my cookouts summer 2010.
A lot of things have changed about me since 2009.
I have lost then gained weight, cut and dyed my hair, etc.
I think most of all I have grown up.
I have learned a lot about myself in the past year.
By figuring out my strengths and weaknesses, I believe that I have become/am becoming (it's a process)
the person God wants me to be.
Nobody is perfect and I believe that you learn from your mistakes.

Gotta get back to studying now!
Love y'all!
Stay sweet!

HEY GATORS...

WE JUST BEAT THE HELL OUTTA YOU!
What an awesome game yesterday!
I thought it would more of a fight but Alabama was out in full force and dominated the field!
Daddy and I went to the strip before the game and got some lunch
and then headed to the quad to tailgate.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day in God's country for some Alabama football!
Alabama scored on their first drive and we were so excited!
Florida tried to do a Tebow-move and it got SHUT DOWN by the Alabama defense!
After that it was a shut out and we beat those gators 31-6!
ROLL TIDE!

Day 25: What is in your purse
I always carry my wallet, I just got a new Hobo wallet for my birthday from my wonderful friends!
I also have pens and lip gloss, the usual.
And of course my cell phone!

Day 26: A photo of somewhere you have been

This is in Jamaica when I went on a cruise after graduation from high school!
We went to Haiti, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Mexico.
It was a blast and I hope to go back soon!

I have a huge test Tuesday so I am gonna get back to studying!
Stay sweet!
