Can I Get A Witness?

Last weekend while enjoying my time at home
with the family and Taylor,
a very upsetting thing happened to my little sister.
To make a long story short,
one of her friends said and did something terribly mean
which made my sweet Lulu cry at school Friday.

Saturday rolled around and Mama, Taylor and I got ready
for the Shadow Barons Mardi Gras Ball.
Lu dropped us off and went to hang out with some of her other friends.

The ball was a blast!
We had a great time dancing the night away!
After a good nights rest,
I woke up to someone crying,
it was Lindsey.
I asked her what was wrong
and she said someone slashed her tires last night
and super glued a sign with a mean name on it
to her license plate.

Ok,
first I wanted to call the police,
then I wanted to beat someone up
and lastly I wanted to publicly humiliate who ever would
even THINK about hurting my baby sister!
I do not think I have ever been that mad in my life!

Background info that we later found out:
They just let the air out of her tires, so no damage was done.
The reason they did that stuff to Lu's car was because
they THOUGHT she did something to their cars.
Needless to say...they did not have witness (hence the blog title).

I was shocked that someone would retaliate in such a way.
Really?
You have no idea who put SILLY STRING and GLITTER
on your car so you assume it was an innocent, no way involved person
so you let the air out of her tires and GLUE a sign to her car with a very mean name on it?

Now I had my fair share of drama in high school,
but this level of selfishness and lack of respect that I hear about
from my sister's experiences in public school
are sad and disheartening.

I hope that these kids realize that what they did was wrong and hurtful.
There are better ways to deal with your issues then to defile someone else's property,
especially when you have NO IDEA if that person was really involved or not.

Moral of this story:
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God.
Matthew 5:9

I am SO proud of my little sister for the way she reacted to these hateful actions.
She has handled herself with grace and class
and hopefully she will set an example that people will admire and want to follow.
I love you Lulu!
I have been stuck in my apartment all day with the stomach bug...
and all Missy wants to do is play
so she sits and stares at me before barking her head off
and bringing me her ball.
Good thing Taylor brought her Maltipoo Deuce to come play for the weekend!
